As one of 25 Prudential Emerging Visionaries 2024, Ethan Zhang was invited to attend the summit in Newark in April 2024.
Congratulations to Ethan Zhang for being awarded 2024 Prudential Emerging Visionary for his inspiring commitment to improving the lives of others! Ethan will receive a $5,000 award to help take his innovation to the next level. He is also invited on an all-expenses-paid trip to Prudential's headquarters in Newark, New Jersey, where he will be coached by Prudential employees and have the chance to meet other young leaders.

2023-2024 season team preparation for CyberPatriot competition. Both teams made to the High School Platinum Tier including the team that competed in the high school division for the first time (with half team members are middle school students)! Another team successfully entered into semi-final round.
Congratulations to Ethan Zhang for receving National Cyber Scholarship Foundation (NCSF)’s prestigious Scholar with Honors status in 2023. He also completed SANS GFACT certification.
Ethan Zhang was invited to attend US Cyber Challenge Cyber Camp by National Cyber Scholarship Foundation. So much to learn!
YCD organized an on-site visit to OSU ORTSOC (Oregon Research and Teaching Security Operations Center) for local high school and middle school students on 5/26/2023. We had great discussions with ORTSOC students and faculties. After that, we toured ORTSOC data center labs and had guided tour to School of Engineering of OSU. The feedback from our students is extremely positive and beyond our expectations!

IBM Malware Reverse Engineer Kevin Henson gave a special talk on cybersecurity filed and reverse engineering to Youth Cyber Defender students. Kevin works at IBM Security X-Force Threat Intelligence Malware Team.

On 9/23/2021, Ethan Zhang hosted a cybersecurity introduction session with Robert Gray middle school principle Lisa Newlyn and parents/students from the school. Ethan introduced the CyberPatriot program and answered questions to parents. Quite a few parents/students showed great interests in this topic.
On 5/11/2021, Ethan Zhang hosted an introduction session to Access Academy parents and students. Some parents and students showed great interest in this topic. Since this introduction session, Access Academy has formed team to participate in CyberPatriot every year!
